Policy on Freedom of Information Requests

The University of Connecticut is the recipient of frequent requests for documents or other information under the Connecticut Freedom of Information Act (FOI Act). In order to assist in the production of timely and accurate responses to these requests, the University has assigned the responsibility for coordinating responses to all FOI requests to Attorney Rachel Krinsky Rudnick, the University’s Privacy Officer in the Office of Audit, Compliance and Ethics.

Upon receiving any request for information pursuant to the FOI Act, please immediately contact Ms. Rudnick and forward to her a copy of the request as these matters are time sensitive. She will advise you how to proceed and will assist in the process of determining what information is required to be provided. This process will also help to ensure that the people making the requests receive the information to which they are entitled and the University is in compliance with the provisions of the FOI Act.

Your cooperation in this matter will be greatly appreciated. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact Rachel Krinsky Rudnick at 860-486-5256 or Liz Vitullo at 860-486-2530.
